B2B social media – in glorious technocolour
InsideView has put together a very pretty infographic summing up some of the latest facts and figures on B2B social media adoption.
Interesting stats include the fact that LinkedIn is around three times more effective than either Facebook or Twitter for generating B2B traffic.
It also shows that in Europe, 88% of companies are using at least one of Facebook, Twitter, YouTube or RSS. However, it's not clear whether these are companies in general or B2B-focused organisations. Also, I wonder how far the figure would drop if we took out RSS which is simply a passive distribution tool.
Herein lies the rub with many of these types of round ups. It is very difficult to separate out B2B from wider sociological trends. You can see this in the statistic that says the world now spends over 110 billion minutes on social networks and blog sites. Well, yes. But how many of these are B2B buyers informing their next purchase decision? Likewise, it's interesting to see the proportion of women on differing networks but unless I have a B2B offering aimed at women (and these women in particular) then it's not much use.
But, it is awfully pretty (click the image for a larger version).
